How it works
Four steps, and the last one is optional.
Whoever picks up the bill opens the app. Everyone else just gets a number.

Photograph the receipt
The app reads the dishes and prices off the paper. Crumpled receipts work too. If you'd rather type, that's fine.

Tap who had what
One tap per person, per dish. Three of you shared the pizza? Tap three people. Someone ate most of it? You can set exact portions.

Share the result
Send everyone their number in the group chat. Friends who have the app can open the bill and see the dishes behind it. No more “I only had a salad” at the end of the night.

Tick off who paid
Mark people as paid when the money arrives. If someone forgets, a reminder is one tap — and limited, so nobody gets nagged.
The math
Service follows what you ordered. The tip is split evenly.
It's how most tables already do it in their heads. If you ordered the steak, you pay more of the service charge than the friend who had soup. The tip is for the evening, so everybody chips in the same.

Things people ask.
Do my friends need the app?
No. You can add anyone by name. Only the person who paid and wants to split the bill needs Masrafoid. If friends have it too, they can open the bill, pick their own dishes and see what they owe.
What happens to the receipt photo?
To read it, the photo goes to our server and to OpenAI and Microsoft Azure for text recognition. The app asks before your first scan. Photos that don't end up on a bill are deleted after 24 hours. Details are in the privacy policy.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. We're starting with iPhone.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Your bills, groups and receipt photos are removed with it.
